元気です - How are you? I’m fine – in Japanese
A) How are you?
おげんきですか (o genki desu ka)
B) Fine thank you.
げんきです (genki desu)
And you?
あなたは (anata wa)
——–
In less formal situations you can just ask “genki?” – like an English person saying, “Alright?” The key here being intonation. “genk desu” is the standard reply. In the familiar informal a simple “unn” can suffice by way of answer, but be careful.
Japan is a country with a complex etiquette system, baffling even to natives. Better too polite than rude.
Thank You For this.
you should post more of this.
