These are just some of the foods from Britain that I have missed whilst in Japan. Many of them are obtainable out here but often only from specialist foreign food stores where you pay for the privilege. Like the Japanese who shop at the London Japan Centre, I guess.

Anyway, I’m hungry . . .

Granary bread

French bread

Croissants

Cox apples

Rasberries

Nurishment (Chocolate and Vanilla flavours)

Fish and chips

Chip shop fried cod

Pints of Kronenberg

Glasses of brandy with Kronenberg

Home made burgers and the ingredients that make them good incl. sage

Quarter pounders from McDonalds (why? when I never eat McD’s in UK?)

Kebabs (thus does the Englishman know that intoxication is upon him)

The Beigels of Brick Lane

The Cheese Cake of the Brick Lane Beigel Shops

The Vanilla Ice Cream of Lidl

Pizza of all kinds, particularly my Mum’s
