Teaching English in Japan . . . images of “Captain, my captain” pedagogy . . . more likely you will teach Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star to kindergarten kids.

The JET Programme is an admirable scheme.  In recent years as recession and cheaper teaching alternatives have bitten it has faced pressure and questioning examination.

Teaching a class of 50 4,5 and 6 year old’s to sing is one of the most effective ways to teach English to that age group.  And the parents can video their little stars.
